Our Courses

Lifesaving Skills - NL offers a wide range of programs, including Aquatic specific programming, as well as First Aid training. We are a registered affiliate of the Lifesaving Society and a Training Partner of the Canadian Red Cross. Below you will find a description of the course as well as the Society the course is offered from.

Lifesaving Society

Standard First Aid

A Standard First Aid certification is becoming more and more commonplace as the years progress. This course is designed to expand and educate candidates on numerous First Aid skills. These skills include: CPR (level C), AED training, Circulatory Emergency Management, Respiratory Emergency Management and more. This is the highest level of First Aid offered by the Lifesaving Society. Original or Recertification available.

Lifesaving Society

CPR Training

Like Standard First Aid, CPR (levels A, B, & C) are becoming more and more common. Especially when it comes to employment requirements. Our Team of CPR Instructors are certified to teach all levels of CPR (excluding HCP). With low ratio classes and flexible hours there's no reason to be stuck without this lifesaving skill in an emergency. Original or Recertification available.

Lifesaving Society

Bronze Awards

The Lifesaving Society's Bronze level awards are the first steps for candidates on their way to become Lifesavers/Lifeguards. These programs include: Bronze Star, Bronze Medallion, and Bronze Cross. For candidates planning to work in a facility outside St. John's (Metro Area), Bronze Cross is required by law to Lifeguard in rural Newfoundland where NLS programs are unavailable. In St. John's (Urban Areas) National Lifeguard Service Award is required (coming soon to our courses).
